12 Teves: A New World
A NEW WORLD
For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the first ones shall not be remembered, neither shall they come into mind. (Yeshayah 65:17)
Rabbi Avraham interprets this to mean that G-d will purify the atmosphere and environment so that people will be healthy and strong and live long lives. The earth will also be renewed in a similar way. (Radak, ibid.)
When Moshiach comes, even the physical nature of the world will be refined. Then, we will recognize how the nature of the world is truly supernatural. We will see how the world is designed to aid us in every way, especially in performing Torah and mitzvos.
When we study Torah and perform mitzvos with deep, personal understanding, our nature is transformed and a new world unfolds before our eyes.
