TEMPLE BUILDING
Solomon built the Temple and finished it. (Kings I, 6:14)
King Solomon completed the First Temple in the month of Cheshvan (see Kings I, 6:38). This makes Cheshvan an especially auspicious time for building the Third Temple.
Just as every Jew contributed to the Temple’s construction in some way, so too, all Jews can and must participate in building the Third Temple. We must bring additional holiness to everything around us, including Torah study and observance of mitzvos, for oneself and for one’s surroundings. Spreading holiness is the best way to prepare for building the Holy Temple.
