4 Adar: The First Dance
THE FIRST DANCE
When Moshiach comes, the dead will be resurrected. At that time, the Patriarchs, Yaakov's sons, Moshe and Aharon, the prophets, the Talmudic sages, and the righteous of every generation will rise. Yet, with whom will they seek to rejoice? The simple Jews.
Moshe Rabbeinu will join these Jews in the very first dance; for the Torah stands not on the shoulders of the impressive scholars with their ingenious innovations, but upon the fundamental belief and actions of these “ordinary” Jews. Likewise, King David will take the hands of those who recite Tehillim (Psalms) with simple sincerity, and he will dance with them.
