4 Nissan: Trapped In Our Own Minds
TRAPPED IN OUR OWN MINDS
When the L-rd returns the returnees to Zion, we will be like dreamers. (Tehillim 126:1)
Exile is as a dreamlike state of being. In a dream, a person lives entirely in the fantasies of one’s mind, totally disconnected from the reality around him. In this sense, exile is like a waking and walking dream. In this delusion, we forget our faith and passively accept reality.
The solution is to know that there is more to reality than what we see, and it is this ultimate G-dly reality that should drive our thoughts, speech, and deeds.
