6 Adar: Standing Strong
STANDING STRONG
When Moshiach comes, we will experience G-dliness through our actions instead of through revelations coming as a gift from Above. The Jewish People initiated this on Purim by retaining their faith with self-sacrifice. (Torah Ohr 97a)
Haman’s decree only applied to those of the Jewish faith. He would have done nothing to those who gave up their religion for another. Even though the people’s lives stood in the balance the entire year, no one considered renouncing his faith, G-d forbid.
Through this self-sacrifice, the Jewish People accessed G-d’s Essence just as we will when Moshiach comes. However, that which the Jews of Mordechai’s time achieved was not fully revealed because it came only from acts of faith without understanding. Moshiach requires that we combine simple self-sacrifice and pure faith with understanding. Then, we will reveal G-d’s Essence.
